Nonprofit group names new directors
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Drug and Alcohol Presentations Inc., a nonprofit organization that educates young people about addictive and harmful substances, has added two new members to its board of directors.
Richard H. Merrill, president and CEO of Tyler Mountain Water Company, will serve as vice president. Merrill is a past president of the Charleston Rotary Club is currently the secretary-treasurer of the Regional Contracting Assistance Center. He is a ruling elder at Kanawha United Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College.
Michael Arcuri, a water quality specialist with the state Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Water and Waste Management, will serve as the organization's secretary. Arcuri holds a bachelor's degree in zoology and a master's degree in biological sciences, both from Marshall University. He is also a professional musician with the group Holy Cow.
They join current board members Charles F. Maddox II, president, founder and chairman of Drug and Alcohol Presentations Inc.; and Ron Hughes, the group's treasurer.
Jason Duffield of Duff Graphics LLC has also joined the organization as webmaster. He is a graduate of the Art Institute in Pittsburgh.
