Hillside excavation closes W.Va. 10 in Logan County
MAN, W.Va. -- An excavation project has closed a section of W.Va. 10 in Logan County for 90 days.
The section runs from Dabney to Man.
Bizzack Construction, LLC of Lexington, Ky., has been excavating a hillside along the road.
Transportation Secretary Paul Mattox says the hillside is becoming increasingly unstable. It's no longer safe for traffic to move through the work zone.
A detour has been set up. Vehicles will take Rum Creek Road at Dabney, travel about 12 miles to Buffalo Creek Road, and then take Buffalo Creek Road 5 miles to W.Va. 10 at Man.
