FAIRLEA, W.Va. -- The West Virginia State Fair takes place at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds in Fairlea. Gate admission is $10 for adults, $8 for kids, ages 6-12 and free for children 5 years and under.8 a.m.: Gates open8 a.m.: Horse and pony show9 a.m.: Angus cattle show
