Trail club hikeKanawha Trail Club will sponsor a hike Sunday on the Kanawha State Forest CCC Snipe Trail. Meet at 12:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Regroup at the swimming pool parking lot. KTC will join the Highlands Conservancy program. A historic hike up CCC trail will follow on a moderate trail.5K raceThe Second Striding for the Great Commission 5K Race will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Valley Park in Hurricane. Registration is 5:30 p.m. The entry fee is $20 on race day. T-shirts will be available to the first 100 participants. Awards for all age groups, male/female will be given. They will also have a table at the Valley Park Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and proceeds benefit mission programs in Honduras.
