Al-Anon Support Group for friends and family of alcoholics or other drugs, meets at 8 p.m. Tuesdays at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St.; noon on Wednesdays at the Kanawha County Day Report Center, 900 Christopher St.; and 7 p.m. Thursdays in the Edgewood area at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Dr. Alateen Support Meetings are for teens who deal with alcohol and/or drugs with a family member or friend. Meetings are held 7 p.m. Thursdays in the Edgewood area at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Dr.; and noon Fridays at Christ Church, second floor, Quarrier and Morris streets. The Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will meet from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at 1525 Washington St. W.
FamilyCare Health Center: will offer a Diabetes Class from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Patrick Street site. Certified Diabetes Educator Grace Gibson will help those who want to learn more about diabetes, meal planning, carb counting, label reading, medications and complication prevention in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
