Thousands of people participated in Saturday's "Color Vibe" 5K race/walk through downtown Charleston. Participants were sprayed (and sprayed each other) with colored cornstarch powders.
The event began with a dance party and "color throw" and featured four "color zones" along the course.
The race started and finished on Magic Island, meandering its way down Kanawha Boulevard toward the Capitol in the meantime.
Color Vibe holds races in more than 150 cities across the United States, often partnering with local charities to raise money. In Charleston, Color Vibe partnered with the West Virginia Special Olympics.
