California homicide suspect arrested in Scott Depot
SCOTT DEPOT, W.Va. -- Federal marshals arrested a California man in Scott Depot on Wednesday in connection to a 2012 homicide investigation.
Michael Anthony Daniels, 60, was arrested at 4941 Teays Valley Road and charged with being a fugitive from justice, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Marshal Service.
Daniels had been wanted in connection to the slaying of Jessica Brastow, 37, on Aug. 8, 2012 in Vallejo, Calif.
U.S. marshals received a tip that Daniels had been living in Scott Depot after the slaying. He was taken into custody without incident. Daniels was being held Wednesday in Western Regional Jail awaiting a hearing on extradition to California.
