Evidence in apartment could be tied to man's disappearance
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police found evidence at an apartment in Marmet that caused them to seek a search warrant in connection to the disappearance of a man who has been missing since Sept. 23.
Charleston Police arrived at an apartment on 83rd Street in Marmet Wednesday afternoon investigating the disappearance of Kareem Hunter, 28.
Evidence within the apartment prompted Charleston Police detectives to contact the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department and seek a search warrant.
Detectives also learned that the night of Hunter's disappearance, a "disturbance" was reported near the apartment to Metro 911.
The Charleston Police and Kanawha County Sheriff's Department are jointly investigating the case.
