CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Sissonville woman received minor injuries Friday morning when she was hit by a car while crossing a Charleston street. Tracy Harper, 41, was crossing Pennsylvania Avenue across from CAMC Women and Children's Hospital with a group of people just before 7 a.m. when she saw a car driven by Robert Calloway, 57, of Marmet, heading her way, according to Lt. C.E. Sisson of the Charleston Police Department. Sisson said Harper pushed the others in the group out of the way, but she was hit by the car. She received minor injuries to her hip, Sisson said. Sisson said Calloway had a green light at the time of the accident and will not be cited.
