CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kroger is celebrating the holiday season with parties at all its 121 stores in the Mid-Atlantic region to thank loyal customers.
The parties will take place Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Customers may enjoy holiday treat samples from the meat, deli and bakery departments. Also, demonstrations for preparing holiday foods will be given.
Each store will participate in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program and put up a tree to raise money for needy children. Customers will have the opportunity beginning Nov. 9 for five weeks to adopt a child for $25 and provide the child's family with a gift card for a Christmas meal.
Kroger's Mid-Atlantic region includes all of its stores in West Virginia except for those in the Northern Panhandle, as well as all stores in Virginia and North Carolina and a few stores in the eastern parts of Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.
