Discussions on gas drilling regulations scheduled

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginians who want to learn more about private water supplies and regulations aimed at protecting them from gas drilling can attend two upcoming programs hosted by WVU Extension.Representatives from the extension services at West Virginia and Penn State universities will discuss hydraulic fracturing, voluntary landowner testing, leasing stipulations and more.An official with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection will talk about groundwater protection and the program that controls underground injection of fluids.
The first session is Nov. 18 at the Winfield Community Building in Marion County.The second is Nov. 19 at the Doddridge County Park building.For more information, visit the WVU Extension website, http://anr.ext.wvu.edu/oil_gas.
