Washington St., Lewisburg. Spangler will present "A Place Called Solid: The Life and Work of Louise McNeill." Louise McNeill Pease was West Virginia's poet laureate from 1979 to 1993. Spangler, a native of Lewisburg, is a software engineer with IBM Corp.Open stageUnity of Kanawha Valley will be home to its monthly Open Stage and Coffee House, with host Ron Sowell, at 7:30 p.m. Friday at 804 Myrtle Road.
