Beans and cornbread dinnerThe Religious Coalition for Community Renewal will sponsor its 17th annual Beans and Cornbread Dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 21 at Christ Church United Methodist, Quarrier Street. The emcee will be Fifth Third Bank's West Virginia president, Bob Welty. A long-time leader in creating solutions to homelessness, Charleston City Council President Tom Lane will be honored. There will be entertainment, a silent auction of items donated by area businesses and a dessert auction. Meet at 1:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Regroup at the swimming pool parking lot. The hike is approximately 4 miles on a moderate trail with some steep and rocky sections.Coin club meeting
