Woman hit by train in Shepherdstown identified
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Police have released the name of a woman who was killed by a train in Shepherdstown.
Shepherdstown police identified the victim as 50-year-old Patricia Bowers-Rayle. She was struck by a Norfolk Southern train Monday night.
Police Chief David Ransom said in a news release that she was from Kentucky and had been in Shepherdstown visiting a relative. It wasn't immediately known which town in Kentucky she was from. Ransom didn't immediately return a telephone message Wednesday.
