CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Two people were hospitalized following an early morning wreck in South Charleston.Sgt. C.A. Crowder of the South Charleston Police Department said an SUV was driving on MacCorkle Avenue a little before 5:30 a.m. when the driver apparently lost control, swerved into the parking lot of a BP gas station and slammed into the station's metal sign post.
Two people in the vehicle were taken to the hospital, Crowder said. Their names and conditions were not immediately available.One lane of MacCorkle Avenue remains closed until the sign is repaired, Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers said.
