CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Meteorologists in Charleston warned of a high possibility of flooding and freezing rain late Friday and early Saturday.Several waves of heavy rain will move across the region Thursday night through Saturday morning, according to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service. The rain would create a storm line from Clarksburg to Charleston and includes parts of northern Mingo County. The rain is expected to change into snow, sleet or freezing rain that is typically seen with overflowing streams and creeks. A flood watch has been issued from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday. Higher elevations would likely receive 2 to 2-1/2 inches of rain, according to the advisory.
