Five plead guilty in gun thefts from Stonewood PD
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. -- Five people each face up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to weapons charges stemming from the theft of guns from the Stonewood Police Department.
U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld II said today that 25-year-old Jonathan Carpenter and 33-year-old Kristopher Cox each pleaded guilty to being felons in possession of firearms.
The other defendants pleaded guilty to possession of firearms by an unlawful drug user or addict. They are 29-year-old Michelle McKinney, 43-year-old John Lynch and 26-year-old Denaul Dickerson.
All five defendants are Clarksburg residents.
The guns were stolen during a break-in on Aug. 26, 2013.
