Charleston to get 250 call center jobs
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Call center company Ibex Global is extending its footprint in the Mountain State.
The company announced Thursday it is adding 250 jobs in Charleston. The company has call centers in Elkins and Beckley as well. Ibex Global has more than 18 call centers employing more than 9,000 customer service representatives in five countries, according to its website.
"All jobs are good jobs," said Matt Ballard with the Charleston Area Alliance. "You have to have diversity in your economy."
The company will host an open house on Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 100 Parkway Road, near Southridge Centre off Corridor G. The company's site says its hiring customer service representatives.
"That's a lot of jobs," Ballard added. "It's going to help the businesses around [Southridge Centre]."
Ibex is offering a $500 hiring bonus until Feb. 28. The jobs will pay up to $11 an hour, according to the company.
