CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Library Commission is offering a high-tech way to check out certain magazines.
A new online service called Zinio for Libraries enables state library patrons to download the latest issue of such magazines as Newsweek, Popular Science and Reader's Digest on a computer, tablet or smartphone. All a person needs is Internet access and a library card from the West Virginia Library Commission.
State Library Services Director heather Campbell Shock says not everyone can make it to the library during business hours. The new online service allows patrons to read a magazine at their convenience.
Library cards are available at the West Virginia State Library in the Culture Center in Charleston, or by email at email@example.com.
