Baby items and money collected for water crisis areas

KINCAID, W.Va. -- The Southern Appalachian Labor School and the West Virginia Council of Churches are collecting ready-made baby formula, diapers, nonperishable food and distilled water for those in need within the  nine counties area impacted with contaminated water served by the Elk River intake of the West Virginia American Water system.Anyone with supplies or monetary donations can call SALS at 304-465-9732, 304-779-2772 or 304-465-4246, or the Rev. Jeff Allen, director of the Council of Churches, at 304-344-3141.Items can be left at the Council of Churches, 2207 Washington St. E., Charleston, WV 25311, or the Historic Oak Hill School or the SALS Community Center in Beards Fork (the mailing address is SALS, P.O. Box 127, Kincaid, WV 25119).
