SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A South Charleston man was charged with wanton endangerment Thursday evening after allegedly opening fire on two people outside a drugstore.Brett Reynolds, 38, of South Charleston, got into a fight with another man outside the Rite Aid at 333 MacCorkle Ave., South Charleston, about 7 p.m., according to a criminal complaint on file in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.Another man tried to break up the fight but also became involved, the complaint said.Reynolds and his girlfriend then jumped into Reynolds' car, where Reynolds pulled a gun from beside the seat, according to the criminal complaint. Reynolds then allegedly jumped back out and fired three shots at the two men. Neither was hit.
Police said they recovered a 9 mm Ruger semiautomatic pistol and found three spent shell casings on the ground.Reynolds was charged with two counts of wanton endangerment. He was in the South Central Regional Jail on Friday with bail set at $75,000.
