Restaurant Week kicks off (photo)

Restaurant Week is underway in Charleston, and staff at the Bridge Road Bistro -- executive chef John Wright, Dennis Keiffer, Brandon Aubrey, Blake Ferronte, Dan Byrd, John Parrish and Eric Peebles -- were preparing dishes for the event, including pork chops with polenta and vegetables, garden salad, bread pudding with vanilla sauce and French onion soup. The event features eight restaurants offering a fixed (with some options) three-course menu at a single price of $30.
