2 plead guilty to pill fraud

BECKLEY, W.Va. -- Two Raleigh County residents have pleaded guilty to obtaining painkillers with forged prescriptions.U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said Tuesday that 46-year-old Sherry Lively of Crab Orchard and 22-year-old Justin Woodie of Beckley entered the pleas in federal court in Beckley.
Goodwin said Lively and Woodie had prescriptions for oxycodone that were forged by someone who stole a script pad from a Beckley doctor. A local pharmacy filled the prescriptions last July, giving the pair pills that weren't prescribed for them.Federal agents determined that the doctor whose name was on the prescriptions hadn't signed them.Lively and Woodie each faces up to four years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Their sentencings are set for May 15.
