Alzheimer's Association workshop
The Alzheimer's Association's West Virginia Chapter is offering a free community workshop at 3 p.m. today<co Thursday> at the Hansford Senior Center, 500 Washington St., St. Albans. The workshop is part of a six-week Caregiver Class sponsored by the Palliative Care Center. The one-hour workshop is for caregivers and others interested in information regarding "The Basics of Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia." ;Kids' snow bunny run
Charleston Parks and Recreation will sponsor the free winter series "Kids' Snow Bunny Run" at 1 p.m. Sunday for kids, ages 4-7 a quarter-mile run, and for ages 8-12 a half-mile run in Kanawha City. Registration begins at noon at the West Virginia University/CAMC Charleston Division, 3110 MacCorkle Ave. S.E. The run start and finish will be held at 31st Street and Virginia Avenue. Arts Day at the Capitol
The West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts has rescheduled Arts Day at the Capitol to 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the Upper Rotunda of the State Capitol. The annual event honors the impact the arts have on cultural growth, economic development and education.
