Six face charges stemming from Stonewood PD burglary
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. -- Six people face federal charges stemming from the theft of firearms during a burglary at the Stonewood Police Department.
U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld said Thursday that a federal grand jury issued the charges in a 32-count indictment this week. All six defendants are Clarksburg residents.
The indictment charges Jonathan Carpenter, 25; Michelle McKinney, 29; Dominic Sutherlin, 27; John Lynch, 43; Denaul Dickerson 26; and Kristopher Cox, 33, with conspiracy to violate federal firearms laws.
The defendants are accused of possessing, concealing, storing, selling and disposing of the stolen firearms as part of the conspiracy.
