They were tired and stinky and worried. A chemical leak had rendered their tap water useless. No showers. No clean clothes. No coffee.
Nevertheless, caring men and women volunteered to stand in the cold and rain to supply their neighbors with clean water, handing out cases by the truckload.
The National Guard was the first to come in and will be the last to depart. Never take the National Guard for granted.
And numerous organizations trucked in water. Many have spent countless hours to help.
Hats off to everyone involved in providing safe water supplies during the Great Water Crisis of 2014.
