Roundup: Cross Lanes tops Teays Valley in WVCAT title game

Kyle Davis scored twice as Cross Lanes Christian defeated Teays Valley Christian 4-1 in the West Virginia Christian Athletic Tournament championship Saturday at Schoenbaum Soccer Stadium.Austin Davis and Ben O'Dell added goals for the Warriors (20-0-1). Jamir Morreno had the lone goal for Teays Valley.

  • UC SOCCER: Adam Hintz scored in the 101st minute as the University of Charleston posted a 3-2 win over West Virginia Wesleyan at Schoenbaum Soccer Stadium.Nathan Schmitt and Dan Walmsley also posted goals for the Golden Eagles (12-1-3). Joe Ferraracci and Mathew Brown scored for the Bobcats (12-4-1).The University of Charleston also won the regular-season West Virginia Conference title by posting a 9-0 league mark. The Golden Eagles are the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament and hold home-field advantage throughout while earning a first-round bye.
