The University of Charleston women's soccer team held on for a 2-1 win at Shepherd in the first round of the West Virginia Conference tournament on Sunday.Elyse Surbaugh scored an early goal for the Golden Eagles, and an own goal by Shepherd gave UC a 2-0 lead it was able to hang on to.Kelsey Eagen scored the lone goal for the Rams.Charleston will play at No. 1 Alderson-Broaddus at 7 p.m. on Friday in the semifinals.
