Jenna Pew of Wheeling Jesuit has been named the West Virginia Conference volleyball player of the year, while Linda Renzi of Pitt Johnstown earned coach of the year honors.Malleri Hardison and Victoria Severo of the University of Charleston picked up spots on the All-WVC team. Hardison landed a spot on the second team after leading UC offensively with 335 kills and 305 digs. Severo earned honorable mention with a .318 attack percentage, 243 kills and 82 blocks.Cameron Lewis earned first-team honors and Alyssa Graboski picked up honorable mention for West Virginia State. WVU SPORTS: The No. 2-ranked West Virginia University rifle team scored its second win in as many days at No. 4 Alaska-Fairbanks, defeating the Nanooks 4716-4651 Sunday at the E.F. Horton Rifle Range.The Mountaineers (9-0) were led by senior Petra Zublasing, whose winning smallbore score (593) matched the school record she shares with Nicco Campriani.nn
