Wood's triple-double lifts Riverside girls past Elk Valley

Brittany Wood registered a triple-double with 21 points, 18 rebounds and 13 blocked shots to lead Riverside to a 70-44 win at Elk Valley Christian in girls basketball Friday.Cassidy Farey added eight points and seven rebounds for the Warriors (2-2). Elk Valley's Chelsea Burdette finished with 21 points while McKenzie Young added 11.
  • ST. JOE 47, WHEELING CENTRAL 39: St. Joseph's Mychal Johnson scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Fighting Irish defeated Wheeling Central in the semifinals of the Donnie Fenton Shootout.
