Hoops Classic: SC boys rout University 69-35

Brandon Knapper scored 16 points as South Charleston's boys broke away early to earn a 69-35 victory over University during the Hoops Classic at the Civic Center on Saturday.Rashaud Kincaid added 10 points for the unbeaten Black Eagles (4-0), who had 12 players score in all. Adam Meadows led the Hawks with 14 points.
  • MAGNOLIA 79, NITRO 55: Steve Rogalski poured in 31 points as the Class A Blue Eagles completed an unbeaten southern trip with a win at the Hoops Classic.
  • Mark Winters added 22 points and Preston Boswell 10 for Magnolia, which beat Logan Friday. Trevon Taylor's 16 points led the Wildcats. Ethan Clark and Angelo Sirianni each tallied 10.
  • LINCOLN COUNTY 43, PENDLETON COUNTY 31: T.J. Arbaugh scored 17 points to lead the Lincoln County boys to a win over Pendleton County.
  • Ken Holton added 15 points in the win for the Panthers. For Pendleton County, Evan Arrington led the Wildcats with nine points.
  • GREATER BECKLEY 58, TEAYS VALLEY 35: Greater Beckley Christian had three players score in double-digits in its win over Teays Valley Christian.
  • Brent Daniels led Greater Beckley with 18 points, while Javonne Staunton had 15 and Keith Mulling chipped in with 11. For Teays Valley, Justin Wojcieszak was the leading scorer with 15 points.Girls
  • GW 37, ST. ALBANS 25: George Washington jumped out to a 19-9 halftime lead and never let up in its win against St. Albans.
  • The Patriots (4-1) outscored the Red Dragons 18-16 in the second half to secure their 12-point victory. Rachel Ward led GW with 11 points and Kayla Stewart added 10 points. For St. Albans, Breanna Propst led the way with 10 points.
  • TEAYS VALLEY 59, GBC 25: Abigail Dillon scored 14 points to lead Teays Valley Christian past Greater Beckley Christian.
  • Gabby Harrah was also in double-figures for Teays Valley, scoring 11 points. Emacy Covey led Greater Beckley with nine points in the loss.
