Prep roundup: Buffalo boys beat Sissonville 76-68

Laythen Good and Levi Jordan combined for 46 points as Class A No. 6 Buffalo beat visiting Sissonville 76-68 in boys high school basketball Wednesday night.Good finished with 24 points while Jordan had 22.Isaiah Robinson contributed 10 points for the Bison (10-1), while Zach Null led Sissonville (3-7) with 23 points. 
  •   MIDLAND 59, CAPITAL 56: Coy Petitt buried a 3-pointer from the corner with seven seconds remaining to break 56-all tie and send the visiting Knights to victory.
  • Capital (5-8) was able to inbound the ball in the waning seconds, but couldn't get off a potential game-tying shot.
    Jordan Maynard led Cabell Midland with 14 points and Petitt added 12. For the Cougars, Austin Coleman had 19 points and Carrington Morris scored 15 and pulled down 12 rebounds.
  • PARKERSBURG 55, WINFIELD 52: Ben Umpleby scored 20 points and Trevor Britton donated 19 points and seven assists as the host Big Reds rallied to earn the win. Parkersburg (5-8) trailed after three quarters 45-40. For the Generals (6-5), Chris Turner had 17 points and eight rebounds and Zach Fisher added 15 points and five steals.
  • HUNTINGTON 59, RIVERSIDE 52: Arick Nicks tossed in 25 points and Nathan Demoss 12 as the state-ranked Highlanders (8-2) held off the host Warriors (6-6), who led 28-26 at halftime 28-26. Marcus Reed led the Warriors with 27 points.
  • PRINCETON 72, ST. ALBANS 56: Ryan Meadows had 24 points and Hunter Walters 18 as the host Tigers (10-2) broke away late for the victory. For the Red Dragons (4-6), Nathan McNeil scored 17 points and Thad Moss nine.
  • VALLEY 74, VAN 33: Druw Bowen scored 13 points and Arik McGinnis 12 to pace the unbeaten host Greyhounds to their sixth victory. For the Bulldogs (1-8), Brandon Elswick had 14 points. Valley, No. 8 in Class A, plays at No. 6 Buffalo Friday.
  • RIPLEY 75, SPRING VALLEY 66: Kade Harrison scored 30 points and Casey Smith pitched in 18 to lead Ripley past visiting Spring Valley. Jacob Haynes added 12 points for the Vikings (3-8). For Spring Valley (2-8), Jacob Kilgore scored 31 points.
  • MORGANTOWN 69, SOUTH 54: Nathan Adrian scored a game-high 28 points to lead visiting Morgantown. Dean Marshall had 15 points and Nicholas Colasante added 13 points for the Mohigans (9-1). Wes Mitchem scored 14 points and Doug Dennis finished with 12 to lead Parkersburg South (9-3).
  • WYOMING EAST 59, SCOTT 57: Brett Bowling scored 24 points and the visiting Warriors held off a late comeback attempt by the Skyhawks. For Scott (8-4), Matt Dolan had 17 points, Logan Webb 16 and Eric May 14.Tuesday's boys games
  • WOODROW 74, NITRO 47: Freshman Nequan Carrington scored 20 points and Donte Nabors 19 to pace host Woodrow Wilson (6-4). For the Wildcats (5-6), Angelo Sirianni had 11 points and Trevon Taylor nine.
  • POINT 68, GALLIA 58: Dillon McCarty tallied 26 points to become the fifth player in Point Pleasant history to reach 1,000 for his career in a win at Gallia Academy (Ohio). Wade Martin added 22 for the Big Blacks (2-8). Justin Bailey had 14 for Gallia.
  • WESTSIDE 91, MAN 54: Levin Lambert had 23 points as the visiting Renegades rolled. For the Hillbillies (3-9), John Keffer scored 21 points and Jake Adkins 13.

  • CHAPMANVILLE 60, HOOVER 50: Hillary Hainer and Jessica Ridour each scored 15 points as visiting Chapmanville beat Herbert Hoover. Kristen Desrocher was also in double figures for the Tigers (7-5) with 10 points. For the Huskies (7-4), Caroline Thornburg scored 14 points and Jordan Marshall 12.
