Marshall football: Long snapper Cincotta arrested on misdemeanor underage consumption charge
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University long snapper Matt Cincotta was arrested on Sunday on a misdemeanor charge of underage consumption, according to the Western Regional Jail.
Cincotta, 19, was brought in to Western Regional at 4:40 a.m. Sunday by the Huntington Police Department and released at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Bond amount was not known. Cincotta played all 12 games for the Thundering Herd in 2012, recording three tackles.
Marshall sports information director Jason Corriher said the athletic department was aware of the arrest and "will handle the matter internally, yet appropriately."
