CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Greenbrier East, Westside and St. Joseph were No. 1 in their respective classes in Monday's Associated Press girls high school basketball polls.East received all seven first-place votes to stay atop Class AAA followed by Spring Valley, Huntington, University and Morgantown. George Washington stayed eighth.
In AA, Westside garnered six of the seven first-place votes for No. 1 to break last week's tie with Bridgeport atop the poll. Nicholas County was third followed by Robert C. Byrd and Clay County. Sissonville remained No. 10.St. Joe received all seven first-place votes for the top spot in Class A followed by St. Marys, Wheeling Central, Tucker County and Clay-Battelle.
