Rocco Wilcox went 2 for 3 with two doubles as Charleston Catholic picked up a 4-2 win over Williamstown in high school baseball Tuesday at Triana Field.
Nelson McKown also added a pair of hits and two RBIs for the Fighting Irish (8-4). Avery Goff went 1 for 2 and drove in two runs for the Yellowjackets (8-4).
LOGAN 4, NITRO 3: Troy Burgess went 2 for 2 with two RBIs to help lead visiting Logan (6-3) to a win at Nitro. Tyler Barton went 2 for 2 in the loss for the Wildcats (6-3).
CAPITAL 11, GW 10: Caleb Kinder singled up the middle to score Jordan Bray in the bottom of the seventh as the host Cougars walked off with a win. Justin Palmer had two hits with a double and three RBIs while Kinder and Anthony Gavin each drove in a pair of runs for Capital. John Thomas had three hits for George Washington.
CAPITAL 7, SISSONVILLE 6: Caleb Kinder notched his second walk-off hit of the day for host Capital as his single up the middle scored Jordan Bray in the bottom of the seventh. Kavin Kincaid drove in two runs for the Cougars (5-7). Zach Null went 2 for 4 with a triple and Eli Mooney doubled twice for Sissonville.
HOOVER 17, NICHOLAS 5: Austin Thomas and Tristan Field each hit home runs as visiting Herbert Hoover defeated Nicholas County.
The Huskies (12-0) stayed undefeated with the win. Scooter Farmer finished with a double and two RBIs while Ryan Shamblin went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for Hoover. For the Grizzlies (4-4), Tyler Seagraves went 3 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI.
SHERMAN 11, VAN 5: Duncan Breeden went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs while Daniel Petroff went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs to lead visiting Sherman (4-4). For Van, Tyler Workman went 2 for 3 and Trey Sigmon went 2 for 4.
POINT PLEASANT 16, SCOTT 1: Austin Toler allowed just two hits while Point Pleasant (7-6) got first-inning home runs from Alex Summerville, Tylun Campbell and Bruce McDemitt in the win at Scott. For Scott (6-6), Evan Bayer had a double in the loss.
SC 12, RIPLEY 6: Jerod Jobst had a pair of hits and two RBIs to lead visiting South Charleston to a victory. Trevor Tucker was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for the Vikings (4-10).
PARK. CATHOLIC 4, RAVENSWOOD 2: Jake Ullman went 2 for 3 as Parkersburg Catholic doubled up Ravenswood for a home win. Devon Crews had two hits for Ravenswood.
SCOTT 4, HOOVER 0: Allyson Johnson went 2 for 3 with a double and home run as Scott picked up a home win over Herbert Hoover. Chasity Ball also had two hits and two RBIs for the Skyhawks (10-4). Mikayla Craze and Caroline Thornburg had hits for Hoover.
ROANE 11, CATHOLIC 0: Casey Lassiter threw a one-hitter as Roane County posted a three-inning mercy-rule win over visiting Charleston Catholic. Miranda Hall hit a double and had four RBIs for the Raiders (11-0). Darien Vines had the only hit for the Fighting Irish.
SHERMAN 5, LOGAN 4: Tori May went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles and RBIs as Sherman won at home. Mackenzie Smith added three hits for the Tide (9-4) while Paige Halstead produced two hits. Shana Hall and Rachel Toppings had two hits apiece for Logan (5-7).
NICHOLAS 9, CLAY 1: Clay County committed eight errors as Nicholas County downed the Panthers in a five-inning mercy-rule contest. Sami Samms went 2 for 3 for the Grizzlies. Carlee Craddock had a hit for Clay (1-14).
LINCOLN COUNTY 4, SC 1: Faith Huffman blasted a two-run home run as Lincoln County collected a home win. Morgan Hutchison and Sarah Barrnett each had an extra-base hit for the Panthers (11-5). Merridith Cain went 1 for 2 for South Charleston.
WAYNE SWEEPS TOLSIA: Tolsia committed 12 errors as Wayne swept a doubleheader from the visiting Rebels, winning 16-0 and 13-0. Jacey Parsons went 3 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs for the Pioneers (9-3) in game one and Emily Thompson had three hits with a double and three RBIs in game two. Kabrina Brewer had the lone hit in the twin bill for Tolsia.
RIVERSIDE 10, WOODROW 2: Chelsea Daggert had two hits and two RBIs as Riverside picked up a win on the road. Kaylee Wolfe struck out four in a six-hitter for the Warriors (9-7). Sarah Bender went 3 for 4 to lead Woodrow Wilson.
CLAY COUNTY 6, POCA 5: Amber Sontos went 3 for 4 with a double as Clay (1-13) edged Poca Monday. Breanna Bias and Tori Ward had two hits apiece for the Dots.
GW 14, HUNTINGTON 7: Jack Bunn scored five goals as George Washington downed visiting Huntington. Jordan Brack contributed three goals for the Patriots (6-1) while Sam Skinner added two. Tanner Way and Seth Porter each scored three goals for Huntington.
CAPITAL 18, HOOVER 4: Joe Wright had four goals and four assists while Mason Jack finished with four goals and two assists as Capital defeated Herbert Hoover at Schoenbaum Stadium. Christian Huffman and Cody Edwards also scored three goals each for the Cougars. For Hoover, John Nidy had two goals while Troy Silber and Josh Coleman each had one.
