SoftballBUFFALO SWEEPS: Chelsey Parkins fired a three-inning no-hitter in the opener with seven strikeouts and Ali Burdette nearly matched that feat in the nightcap as host Buffalo (16-4) swept a doubleheader from Valley 13-0, 11-0.
Burdette tossed a three-inning one-hitter with seven Ks in the second game and also went 3 for 3 with two homers and drove in six runs.RIVERSIDE SWEEPS: Sara Winter and Kaylee Wolfe each fired two-hitters to pace host Riverside to a 10-2, 10-0 doubleheader sweep against Charleston Catholic.
