Grasshoppers pelt Glasnow, win 12-3

Tyler Glasnow suffered his worst game of the season Tuesday night as the West Virginia Power lost its second consecutive game, 12-3, to the Greensboro Grasshoppers at Appalachian Power Park.Glasnow (3-1) pitched just 32/3 innings, giving gave up seven runs, four earned, on just two hits, but those went long - home runs by Yordy Cabrera and Tony Caldwell. Glasnow walked seven, hit a batter and fired four wild pitches.Relievers Pat Ludwig and Bryton Trepagnier gave up three and two earned runs, respectively. Power pitchers combined for 10 walks and only six strikeouts.
The Power was held to eight hits, with Jonathon Schwind and Stetson Allie picking up two each.West Virginia (28-24) and Greensboro (22-28) will conclude their three-game series at 10:30 a.m. today. Jake Burnette will pitch for the Power against the Hoppers' DeJai Oliver.
