Cory Hoshor of Buffalo putts on the 18th green Monday at the West Virginia Open qualifier at Edgewood Country Club. The 2012 Class A individual high school state champion qualified for the Open, shooting 7-over par 78 to finish in a tie for seventh.
Vienna's Alan H. Cooke fired the low-round of the day with a 2-under-par 69 as 20 golfers qualified for the West Virginia Open on a soggy Monday at Edgewood Country Club.
The Open will be held June 17-21at Parkersburg Country Club.
Cooke also had the only round under par, as Charleston's Will Evans finished second with a 3-over 74.
The event included two weather delays and ended with seven golfers playing off for the final five spots.

Elkview's Joshua Wolfe and Huntington's Jay Kaufman also shot 81s and will be alternates.
