Roundup: WVU's Musgrave named to All-East Region first team
West Virginia University baseball standout Harrison Musgrave was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region first team on Friday.
The sophomore lefty from Bridgeport completed the year with a 9-1 record, a 2.17 earned run average and three complete games.
In 951/3 innings, Musgrave struck out 81 batters and allowed just 65 hits.
AREA GOLF: Buckhannon's Christian McKisic shot a 1-under-par 71 to win the low round of the day Friday at the Callaway Junior Tour event at The Golf Club of West Virginia in Waverly.
McKisic competed in the 13-14 age division and defeated 17-18 division champion Alston Spears from Spencer in a playoff to secure the low round. Vienna's Lauryn Davidson claimed her third consecutive low round trophy in the girls division, defeating the 10-14 age division champion Whitney Milhoan in a playoff.
Wheeling's Cole Hand, Charleston's Aaron Persily and Huntington's Josef Dransfeld and Andy Michael each missed the cut to play the final round on Thursday.
