LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The North Division scored two runs in the bottom of the third and held on for a 2-1 win over the South in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game Tuesday night at FirstEnergy Park.The game, which didn't start until 9:45 p.m. due to a rain delay, was shortened to a seven-inning affair.The South took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Rome's Levi Hyams hit a solo home run off West Virginia Power left-hander Orlando Castro, who started on the mound for the North.The North took the lead against losing pitcher Chris Stratton, bundling together four hits for two runs. The Power's Dilson Herrera, who started at shortstop for the North, hit a one-out single, moved to third on a single by Kannapolis' Micah Johnson and scored on a double steal with Johnson. Johnson then stole third and scored the go-ahead run on a groundout by Hickory's Lewis Brinson.
Hagerstown's Dixon Anderson was the winning pitcher, allowing no runs on two hits while pitching the top of the third. Stratton, who pitches for Augusta, took the loss.The Power's Stetson Allie was the starting first baseman for the North and went 1 for 2. West Virginia's Walker Gourley was a substitute in the outfield, getting a hit in his only at bat.Two Power players, Josh Bell and Tyler Glasnow, were listed on the North roster but did not enter the game.
