Report: WVU, Penn State eye home-and-home set
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia appears close to rekindling one of its most heated rivalries.
CBSSports.com reported Thursday that the Mountaineers and Penn State are close to finalizing a home-and-home football series that would start in or after the 2020 season.
Seperated by less than 200 miles, the two schools first played in 1904 and met every year from 1947-1992. The Nittany Lions lead the all-time series 48-9-2. The schools last played in the 1992 season.
