Jimmy Rider smacked a three-run homer to left field in the top of the seventh inning to rally the visiting West Virginia Power past Savannah 4-3 Sunday afternoon.Rider scored the Power's first run in the third inning, lacing a one-out double and scoring on Walker Gourley's two-out single. That cut the Sand Gnats lead to 2-1, but Savannah pushed the advantage back to two runs with a run in the fifth.In the seventh, Chris Diaz and Francisco reached base with one out, setting the table for Rider, who delivered his second home run of the season.John Kuchno (9-5) earned the win, allowing three runs on five hits over six innings.
Sunday's win comes one day after the Power split a doubleheader with Savannah.
