Prep roundup: Lincoln opens football season with 24-6 win over Braxton
Ty Seibel ran for a pair of touchdowns as Lincoln opened the high school football season with a 24-6 win over visiting Braxton County Thursday.Dillon O'Dell also scored for Lincoln (1-0), catching a 15-yard pass from Jarrod Kellar in the fourth quarter. Anthony Cipollone, Thad Jameson, Roger Burdette, Ryan Edwards, Isaac Burch and Patrick O'Leary also had tallies for the Fighting Irish (2-0). Patrick Kline and Hayden McCarty combined for five saves for the shutout.
RIPLEY 3, NITRO 1: JoJo Greely-Fay netted a pair of goals for visiting Ripley. Remy Boyce also scored for the Vikings (2-1). Alec Miller had the lone goal for the Wildcats (1-2).
WINFIELD 0, PRINCETON 0: Goalie Bryce Boggs had six saves for the host Generals (1-0-1), who had nine shots on goal.
