Roundup: WVU women’s soccer wins 7th in a row

Junior forward Kate Schwindel hit the winning goal in the 98th minute as the No. 9 West Virginia women's soccer team earned a 3-2 win in overtime against TCU on Sunday in Morgantown.Frances Silva and Ashley Lawrence each scored a goal  for the Mountaineers (11-2-2 overall, 5-0 Big 12 Conference) who won their seventh-straight match.

  • MU WOMEN: Lizzy Lemons scored a goal off a corner kick from Summer Wheatley in the 21st minute as Marshall snapped a 378-minute scoring drought and rode the momentum to a 2-0 win at East Carolina on Sunday.
    The Thundering Herd (7-4-2 overall, 2-2-1 Conference USA) also benefited from an ECU own goal. Herd goalkeeper Lizzie Kish earned her eighth shutout, making four saves along the way.
