CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The top two teams remained the same across the board in the SSAC playoff ratings heading into the final week of the state high school football season.
In Class AAA, current No. 1 Huntington (9-0) and No. 2 Martinsburg (9-1) have locked up the top two positions and it's just a matter of which finishes the season on top. Capital moved up one spot into third, followed by Point Pleasant and George Washington.
South Charleston stands 12th in AAA, with Hurricane 18th (see lists, Page 2B).
Bluefield and Wayne stayed 1-2 in AA and play Friday in Mercer County. They're trailed in the ratings by Bridgeport, Summers County and Wyoming East. In Class A, it's Madonna, St. Marys and Valley Fayette, with Man and Moorefield tied for fifth.
