Abby Watson exploded for 32 points as Hurricane defeated visiting Lincoln County 68-54 in girls high school basketball Monday.Kaylee Wooten added 17 points for the Redskins (1-0). Lindsey Prichard had 20 points for Lincoln County.
  • SCOTT 64, POCA 31: Landyn McKinney scored 12 points and Ali Whitman and Julie Conway added 10 apiece as Scott (1-1) ran away with a win at home. Casey Skeens led the Dots (0-2) with 10 points.
  • PIKEVIEW 48, GRAHAM 41: Madison May poured in 15 points as PikeView defeated visiting Graham (Va.). Lyndsay Hatfield chipped in 14 points for the Panthers (2-0). Lexi Kiser had 16 points for Graham (0-2).
  • CROSS LANES 56, MAN 29: Courtney Kendrick recorded a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds as Cross Lanes Christian (5-0) picked up a road win. Mika McCoy had a team-high 16 points for Man (0-1).
  • TEAYS VALLEY 73, BETH HAVEN 12: Lindsay Fowler netted 16 points as Teays Valley Christian won at home. Rachel Kiser chipped in 14 for Teays Valley (3-0) while Grace Kesler added 13.
