All-day: Musical Easels. Ice Cream and the Arts in Elk City, Carriage Trail Walk, ArtWalk of the Lee Street Triangle. Local artists will paint or draw as they rotate easels in sync with music of street musicians.

8 to 11 a.m.: Charleston Area Medical Center “Run for Your Life” 5-Mile Race and 2.5 Mile Walk. Starts at Haddad Riverfront Park, 600 Kanawha Blvd. E. Takes runners through Charleston up and around the historic Spring Hill Cemetery and back to Haddad Riverfront Park. Proceeds benefit the CAMC Foundation to support colorectal cancer awareness and screening.

8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (approximate): Festival of Soccer Tournament, Trace Fork Soccer Complex, 20 RHL Blvd. and Schoenbaum Soccer Complex at Coonskin Park. For tournament and registration, call Quantum Sports Center at 304-562-1020.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: “David Lynch: The Art of Life” at the Underground Cinema, Taylor Books, 226 Capitol St. Visit wviff.org/underground for more information.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Recovered Exhibit. Elk City Records, 311 Washington St. W. Ian Bode, Brian Pickens and friends team up with Elk City Records to present each artist’s visual style incorporated into classic and obscure album cover art. Meet the artists from 4 to 7 p.m. during the Ice Cream and The Arts in Elk City.

10 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Charleston Town Center’s Teen and College Student Art Search: FestivALL’s Quest for Emerging Artists. Center Court, Charleston Town Center.

11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Smoke on the Water Chili Cookoff. Haddad Riverfront Park, 600 Kanawha Blvd. E. Samples begin at 11:30 a.m. and end when they run out. Music – 11 a.m., Shaw Brothers; 12:15 p.m., The Change; 1:30 p.m., The Sea, The Sea; 2:15 p.m., Beggar’s Clan. 5 to 7 p.m.: Travelin’ Appalachians Revue. Kin Ship Goods, 613 Tennessee Ave. Annual cooperative arts showcase based out of Morgantown. Features musical performances by John R. Miller (The Fox Hunt, Locust Honey), Rose Anne (Best Friend), Darrin Hacquard (The Fox Hunt) and John Jacob (False Pterodactyl , Beast Friends) and readings by poets Kevin Chesser, Keegan Lester and novelist Mila Jaroniec. 7:30 p.m.: Air Play, Clay Center Maier Performance Hall, 1 Clay Square. Merges circus and street theater performance art with the sculptural artist Daniel Wurtzel.

7:30 to 9 p.m.: Charleston Harmony. Culture Center Theatre, 1900 Kanawha Blvd. E. The 43rd Annual Show features the Kanawha Kordsmen and Chapter quartets. Special guests will be the Hot Air Buffoons.
