Fayetteville hosting Solar Powered Music Festival

Qiet is one of the bands set to perform during the Solar Powered Music Festival in Fayetteville this weekend.

The Keeper of the Mountain’s “Our Day in the Sun” Solar Powered Music Festival, powered by solar panels, brings musicians, spoken word artists and speakers to the Cantrell Ultimate Rafting grounds, 49 Cantrell Dr., near Fayetteville, from 3 p.m. Friday through midnight Saturday. Performers at the family-friendly event include The People’s Fire Circle, Muskogee Nation Elder Ben Yahola, Qiet, Rasta Rafiki, Illusionary Field Unit, Sambo Moore, Margo and the Bluegills, Dina Hornbaker, Elaine Purkey, The BrotherSisters, Paige DalPorto, Kathleen Coffee, Whistle and Fish, and Scarlet Revolt. Spoken word artists and speakers include Crystal Good, Penny Loeb, Trish Bragg, Natalie Thompson and Cindy Rank. Admission is $10 a day, plus $10 a night for those who wish to camp.
