W.Va. woman sentenced for heroin trafficking
HUNTINGTON -- A Huntington woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for allowing heroin trafficking from her home.
Twenty-nine-year-old Lindsey Alyn Thacker was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Huntington for maintaining a residence for the purpose of distributing heroin.
Federal prosecutors say from 2012 to 2013, Thacker allowed drug dealers from Detroit to store and sell heroin at her home and allowed addicts to use heroin. In return, she received heroin for her own use.
Agents found heroin and more than $1,000 from drug sales during a search of the home. Thacker admitted making a half-dozen trips to Detroit to obtain heroin and crack cocaine from a dealer who has since been convicted.
