Riverside scored five runs in the first three innings en route to a 10-3 victory Princeton in softball action on Monday night. The Warriors capped the day with a five-run seventh inning to beat the Tigers in Princeton. For Riverside, Catie McCormick struck out five and hit a home run, while Felicia Burton drove in four runs. Rashinda Thornton and Haley Coburn each drove in a run for Princeton.
Herbert Hoover 3, Scott 1 -- Allison Rager pitched a perfect game through six innings and held the Scott Skyhawks to one run at Falling Rock. Rager also provided offense for the Huskies driving in a run. McKenzie Edmonds added a home run. Sami Jo Duffey scored the lone run for Scott.
South Charleston 2, Parkersburg 1 -- Amanda McDonald had 14 strikeouts and one walk in South Charleston’s win at home. Olivia Orcutt-Lazo had a double and drove in a run. Westfall went 2-for-3 in the loss for Parkersburg.
Winfield 12, George Washington 4 -- Pitcher Emily Moore struck out eight while Kenna Marcum hit a two-run home run to lead the Generals past visiting George Washington. For the Patriots, Ali Ferrell had three RBI.
Sissonville 7, Chapman 1 -- Haynes pitched the complete game for Sissonville and struck out eight in the win on the road. Haynes also added the offense going 3-for-4 with a double and a home run. Meeks went 1-for-3 for Chapmanville with an RBI.
